Audition Information
Below you will find audition information details, character breakdowns and our 2026 season audition schedule.
All Auditions Are Open to the Public.
Auditions start promptly at 7:00 pm, unless otherwise posted. Please allow enough time upon arrival to register and be seated in auditorium. Most Auditions are held on the Main Stage at 331 Main Street unless notified otherwise.
Registration opens at 6:30 in the lobby area.
Video auditions are not accepted.
For Musicals
*Everyone must bring a prepared song showing their vocal range.
16 bars or no more than 2 minutes.
*You must have accompaniment tracks to your song.
*Everyone will be shown choreography to perform with the group.
(sandals or any type of open-toed footwear are not permitted on stage)
*If auditioning for a certain role, you may be asked to do additional singing,
readings and/or dance.
*You will be given a script to do a cold reading with others auditioning.
*Some vocal auditions may be held privately with the casting committee.
Book Plays
*Director will have cold readings from the script.
*May be some improvisation involved depending on show and director.
Age requirements for adult productions are 17 and up unless noted for a specific role that requires a younger age or have a direct request from the Director.

VIVIAN WARD Age Range: 20 - 30 | Character gender: Female
A charming, unique, and captivating woman, reluctantly working as a sex worker on
Hollywood Boulevard, secretly dreams of a better life, akin to a modern-day
Cinderella. A chance encounter with a billionaire, who is feeling lost, throws her into
a whirlwind journey among the elite of Beverly Hills. Throughout this "fish-out-ofwater" experience, she learns her true value and becomes resolute in taking control
of her own future. Requires an outstanding lead performer with excellent comic
timing and powerful pop/rock vocals, including a high belt up to F5.
EDWARD LEWIS Age Range: 30 - 40 | Character gender: Male
An outstanding lead performer with strong comic timing and a powerful pop/rock
voice, capable of reaching up to A4. A sharp, accomplished, and highly- educated
business tycoon who specialises in taking over failing companies and liquidating
their assets. Beneath his tough, work-focused exterior lies a sensitive and artistic side,
with a deep appreciation for music and the arts. He hires Vivian seeking
uncomplicated, temporary companionship, but she unexpectedly turns his world
upside down, making him realise that he must change if he wants to keep what truly
matters.
KIT DE LUCA Age Range: 25 - 45 | Character gender: Female
A superb pop/rock vocalist with a powerful high belt up to F#5 and excellent comedic
skills. A seasoned sex worker and party girl who mentored Vivian, showing her how to
navigate life on the streets. Though tough and witty, she soon realises that Vivian
has much to teach her about perseverance and not settling for less. Inspired by Vivian’s
determination, she embarks on her own journey toward a better life.
HAPPY MAN / MR THOMPSON Age Range: 30 - 55 | Character gender: Male
An exceptional pop/rock singer with a tenor range, capable of switching effortlessly
between styles. Must have strong comedic and acting chops, along with excellent
dance ability. This character serves as Vivian’s magical "fairy godfather" on
Hollywood Boulevard, starting out as a quick-witted seller of Maps to the Stars who
encourages her to cling to her dreams. He later transforms into Mr. Thompson, the
polished and efficient manager of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, teaching Vivian how to
ballroom dance and, most importantly, how to believe in herself.
PHILIP STUCKEY Age Range: 30 - 45| Character gender: Male
A talented actor with strong singing ability, who exudes charm and attractiveness.
This character is a driven and relentless lawyer, having collaborated with Edward Lewis
on numerous successful hostile takeovers. Obsessed with wealth, he is willing to push
the limits of legal and ethical boundaries to achieve his goals. When Edward's
deepening relationship with Vivian starts to jeopardise his business interests, he
transforms into a formidable and dangerous opponent.
MR MORSE Age Range: 30 - 45 | Character gender: Male | Appearance BIPOC
A skilled actor with strong singing ability and solid movement/dance skills. This
character is a self-made industrial tycoon who owns a major shipbuilding company.
Facing the threat of losing vital Naval contracts, his business becomes a target for
takeover by Edward Lewis and Philip Stuckey. However, he is fiercely determined
to fight back, driven by his commitment to keep his employees working and
preserve his company.
GIULIO Age Range: 18 - 25 | Character gender: Male | Height up to 165cm
Must convey a youthful appearance. Requires a strong technical dancer with
excellent pop/rock singing skills. This ensemble role features a standout moment as
the young bellhop at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The character should exude wideeyed innocence and have strong comedic timing. Ideally, the
performer is on the shorter side in height.
VIOLETTA Age Range: 21 - 45 | Character gender: Female
To appear in the ensemble with a featured role as an opera singer portraying Violetta
in a "La Traviata" sequence. Requires a stunning high soprano operatic voice with
range up to Bb, along with the ability to perform in a pop/rock style. Strong movement
skills are also essential for this role.
ALFREDO Age Range: 25 - 45 | Character gender: Male
To appear in the ensemble with a featured role as an opera singer portraying Alfredo
in a "La Traviata" sequence. Requires a magnificent high tenor operatic voice, with
the ability to sing in a pop/rock style up to A4. Strong movement ability is also
essential for this role.
ENSEMBLE Age Range: 21 - 35
Highly skilled technical dancers with strong proficiency in ballroom and partnering.
Requires excellent pop/rock singers, with high belt and soprano registers for females
or high baritone/tenor ranges for males. Having a legit operatic soprano/ tenor range
is a plus for certain tracks, so please note any opera experience. Strong character
acting ability is essential, as ensemble members may also be asked to cover lead
roles.
Please arrive early to allow enough time to register and be seated by specified time. Bring your own instrumental track that can be played from phone via bluetooth.
(no accompanist will be provided)
In addition, have comfortable clothing and shoes for dance portion of audition. All auditionees are considered.
